The report behind this site
San Francisco Boardsailing Association (SFBA), The State of Recreational Access to the San Francisco Bay: 2026 (October 2026). An annual audit of whether the public can still reach the water at launch sites and beaches around the Bay.
How this site uses it
- The report is the starting evidence base. Factual findings and recommendations on campaign pages are attributed to it, with page numbers.
- Campaign summaries, the wording of the asks and the suggested comment prompts are written by this site. SFBA has not reviewed them.
- Dates in the report reflect what was known when it was written (sources consulted September 30, 2026). This site doesn't treat them as current deadlines until they've been checked against the agency's own notice.
- Procedural details such as hearing dates and comment addresses come from official government sources, listed on each campaign page.
Page numbers
This site cites the page numbers printed at the bottom of each report page. The PDF's cover is unnumbered, so printed page N is PDF page N + 1. Page links open the PDF at the right page in most browsers.
